Morphology

Introduction

Speranskia yunnanensis is an endangered herbaceous plant in the Euphorbiaceae family, found in tropical regions[1]. It belongs to the Ricinus tribe[2], sharing a close relation with Ricinus communis, and plays an important role in the study of ricin toxin proteins as well as the origin and evolution of Ricinus.
In 2022, Bin Tian assembled the chromosomal-level genome of Speranskia yunnanensis[3], providing valuable resources for research on the species' formation, conservation genomics, and other studies.
